Joker: The Last Laugh is a DC crossover that centered on the idea that the Clown Prince of Crime was dying.
Seems like a pretty good title for this episode, doesn't it?

The Batman legacy is filled with capes, but
when Barbara's magician's outfit draws a "nice cape!" from Theo, it's hard not to think about the fact that in another version of the mythology, Jim and Barbara have a adaughter who will eventually be Batgirl.

This is probably just that same poisonous gas they used in the season premiere -- but it's worth mentioning that in many iterations of the character, Joker uses a noxious Joker Gas/Smilex/whatever.
Particularly because every time I think they don't intend something to be an Easter egg, the producers come out with an interview to say it was.
