It seems like time and distance are helping Zack Snyder's superhero opus Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, at least in regard to general opinion.

The Ultimate Edition of Batman v. Superman looks to push that less negative sentiment even further with 30 minutes worth of extra footage that the studio hopes will help fans fill in some of the plot holes and character voids the theatrical cut was ultimately marred with.

The newest trailer for the ultimate edition doesn't show much of the new footage, but we get a few glimpses, with the most obvious being an exchange between Batman and Alfred while Bruce is in the Batwing.

Bruce tells his longtime friend "I don't deserve you Alfred." to which Alfred replies "No sir, you don't. "

A new shot of Doomsday and another glimpse at a longer scene between Batman and Lex Luthor are the only other moments of note, at least that people haven't already seen.

One of the biggest deleted scenes is the debut of the Justice League's main adversary, Steppenwolf, which will be included in the ultimate edition, along with that aforementioned extended Batman and Luthor scene.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released digitally on June 28th, and on Blu-ray and DVD on July 19th.
