The Walking Dead continues to dominate Sunday nights, despite the show's numbers dipping since the season premiere. If the sheer amount of viewers tuning into the hit series isn't enough to prove it's success, maybe the second highest Sunday program will do the truck.

Of all the original programming that airs on Sunday nights, Talking Dead is the second most-viewed series. Not only does The Walking Dead kill the competition, but its after show also finds a way to stay on top.

Part of the reason for the show's success is the multitude of stars and personalities that appear on the program. Hosted by Nerdist founder Chris Hardwick, Talking Dead always features actors that appear on The Walking Dead that week. After the season premiere, the entire cast spent Sunday night on the after show. In addition to these actors, Talking Dead brings in folks from all over the entertainment industry, and it's a chance for fans to see the inner-fanboy of some of their favorite celebrities.

As many already know, there is no bigger fan of nerd culture than Silent Bob himself, Kevin Smith. The filmmaker and host is already featured in two other AMC nerd series', Comicbook Men and Geeking Out.

Smith, an outspoken mega-fan of The Walking Dead, will be joining Talking Dead this week. He will appear on the show alongside TWD actors Tom Payne (Jesus) and Xander Berkely (Gregory).

He was made famous as an indie filmmakers for creating Clerks, Mallrats, and Chasing Amy. Kevin Smith is also well-known for his multiple podcasts, including Fatman On Batman, Jay And Silent Bob Get Old, and Smodcast.
