Today online brawler For Honor forges ahead with its second season of content with Shadow and Might, a DLC pack that delivers two new heroes, additional maps, and more. Of course, the two new fighters are the headline addition, and here's how Ubisoft describes them:

Centurion (Knight Hybrid) – The Centurion sees the battlefield like a chessboard. Equipped with the reliable standard issue gladius, Centurions can bypass enemy defenses through strategic close-quarters combat.

Shinobi (Samurai Assassin) – The Shinobi are silent warriors able to move with a dancer's grace and kill with precision thanks to a lifetime of disciplined training. They wield the traditional Japanese Kusarigama.

But hey, it's one thing to read about new fighters, and another thing altogether to see them in action. Thankfully, IGN has posted meaty new videos of both the Centurion and Shinobi throwing down. The Centurion, who you can check out above, is a real bruiser, attacking precisely with his short sword, but also just bowling opponents over when he has to. Oddly, the Centurion doesn't carry a shield, even though that was kind of the defining thing about real-life centurions.

Meanwhile, the Shinobi is, unsurprisingly, much faster than the Centurion. That said, this guy isn't cowering in the shadows. The Shinobi is fully capable of taking on opponents head on, and can even use his kusarigama, which are connected to chains, to drag enemies in. Basically, the Shinobi is the For Honor version of Mortal Kombat's Scorpion, which means he's probably going to be popular!

In addition to Shadow and Might Ubisoft has released a new For Honor patch which tweaks characters, increases the XP you earn from battles, and introduces new Epic-level gear. Will all this be enough to salvage For Honor's dwindling playerbase? That remains to be seen, but the Centurion and Shinobi look like solid additions!

For Honor: Season Two – Shadow and Might is available for season pass holders today, while everybody else will be able to unlock the new goodies on May 23.
