Steve Rogers may have been a punk from Brooklyn in the MCU, but Captain Americahas no problem schooling Queen’s youngest vigilante. Next month, Spider-Man: Homecoming will hit theaters and follow Peter Parker after he met Earth’s Mightiest Heroes during Captain America: Civil War. The feature will see Spider-Man cling to Tony Stark as a mentor, but Captain America will still be around to give the boy pointers from afar. And, now, fans have gotten another look at the star-spangled superhero’s cameo.

A new TV spot for Spider-Man: Homecoming dropped today which shows Peter’s sheer stubbornness when it comes to defeating the Vulture. The hero is heard telling his friend Ned nothing will stop him from fighting the baddie. That is, except for detention.
“Parker, my office,” Peter’s principal tells the younger superhero before he can rush out of school. Judging by Peter’s hunched shoulders, he is none to happy about being singled out.
Naturally, the after-school punishment only gets worse when Captain America has one of his beloved cameos.
“So, you got detention,” Captain America can be heard saying as he sits down in a chair. The costume is wearing his costume from the first Avengers film, and Peter really doesn’t look enthused to be seeing the hero. The spot switches scenes a moment later to show the vigilante letting out a heavy sigh when he sees the First Avenger.
When the first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming dropped, fans realized Captain America would have a bit in the film. The video showed Peter’s PE class watching a PSA-type video featuring Captain America, but this new clip is the first time we have seen the hero speak. It looks like the US government convinced Steve to inspire students by filming some school-related videos, but it doesn’t look like Peter is too impressed by it all.
After all, Spider-Man did manage to snag Captain America’s shield from the hero during a fair fight. It would be hard to take the guy’s speech about detention seriously after such a feat.
