Star Trek Beyond, the thirteenth and latest Star Trek movie, is now streaming.

Star Trek Beyond can now available to stream via the Hulu or Amazon Prime streaming services. This comes just eleven months after Star Trek Beyond's July 2016 theatrical release.

Star Trek Beyond is the third film in the Star Trek reboot series, following 2009's Star Trek and 2013's Star Trek Into Darkness. It takes place in Star Trek's Kelvin timeline, the splinter timeline created when Nero's Romulan mining ship became time-displaced, as revealed in Star Trek.

Star Trek Beyond is also the first movie in the Star Trek reboot series to not be directed by JJ Abrams. Abrams went on to direct Star Wars: The Force Awakens while Justin Lin, director of four of the Fast & Furious movies, took the helm of Star Trek Beyond.

Star Trek Beyond currently has a 76.94 ComicBook.com Composite Score and a 4.04 ComicBook.com User Rating. Once you've streamed the movie on Hulu or Amazon Prime, be sure to come back and give Star Trek Beyond your own personal ComicBook.com User Rating below.

In Star Trek Beyond, a surprise attack in outer space forces the Enterprise to crash-land on a mysterious world. The assault came from Krall (Idris Elba), a lizard-like dictator who derives his energy by sucking the life out of his victims. Krall needs an ancient and valuable artifact that's aboard the badly damaged starship. Left stranded in a rugged wilderness, Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto) and the rest of the crew must now battle a deadly alien race while trying to find a way off their hostile planet.

Star Trek Beyond was directed by Justin Lin from a screenplay by Simon Pegg and Doug Jung, inspired by Star Trek: The Original Series, which was created by Gene Roddenberry.

In Star Trek Beyond, Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto reprise their respective roles as Captain James T. Kirk and Commander Spock, along with Simon Pegg as Lieutenant Commander Montgomery Scott, Karl Urban as Lieutenant Commander Leonard McCoy, M.D., Zoe Saldana as Lieutenant Nyota Uhura, John Cho as Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu, and Anton Yelchin as Ensign Pavel Chekov. Idris Elba plays the alien warlord Krall, Joe Taslim plays Krall's second-in-command Manas, Lydia Wilson plays Krall's scout Kalara, and Sofia Boutella as Jaylah, an alien scavenger.

A sequel to Star Trek Beyond, featuring the return of Chris Pine as Captain Kirk's father, was announced shortly after the film's release. Paramount Pictures hasn't said much about the film since then, though Quinto recently offered an update on the film's status.
