5 Weirdest Digimon Moments Ever
Anime is known for sneaking in crude humor into almost all shows, more specifically shows for [...]
#5. Poop and Rat Digimon Hit On Mimi

Mimi is one of the most lovable characters on the DigiDestined team. The adorable girl is very likable, and apparently too much so. In the show a pair of weird Digimon, Sukamon a giant golden poop shaped creature, and Chuumon, a small pink rat, are obsessed with Mimi. The pair are obsessed with her beauty and constantly hit on her and make remarks. It is supposed to be funny, but it just comes off as weird because she is a human and they are weird looking creatures.

Season three of Digimon, Digimon Tamers, is a complex one because of its more mature themes and stories. But it also has very strange meta moments that leave viewers scratching their heads. In the season The protagonist grew up watching the Digimon anime, and the DigiDestined are legends as they are in real life. In the universe, the Digimon franchise exists with toys, television series, movies, and video games just like in real life. It was really weird to see the show reference itself over and over in the series.

While other shows may just gloss over the fact that their adorable creatures need to defecate, Digimon addresses it often. It is a long running joke providing many funny scenes and moments. One funniest *number two* moments from the series happens when the DigiDestined children are making their way back home from the Digital World. The characters end up hitching a ride with Sora's cousin and one Digimon can't hold it anymore. Koromon soils the back seat of the car and chaos ensues.

Digimon Tamers, the third season of Digimon: Digital Monsters, is widely known as being the darkest of all the franchise so far. When you look back at shows or movies that you thought were scary as kids, they sometimes don't hold up. But this moment from Digimon is so scary and dark, it holds up to old memory.
A young girl, Jeri, is deeply troubled by the death of her Digimon friend and partner. She ends up falling into a deep depression, and is used by an evil entity to take over the real world and digital world. Before going any further, the concept alone that was just described sounds like a horror movie. But the nightmare scene within the arc takes it to the next level. It is not only terrifying as she haunted in her sleep by dead Digimon and doctors, but it is a weird thing to have in a show marketed for children.
prevnext#1. Strip Poker
When you think of a show that's marketed for children a scene where a character recommends strip poker is not usually the first thing that comes to mind. But in Season two of Digimon Adventure, there is a moment that may go over kids heads that is uncomfortable to say the least. In the Christmas episode of Season two, the DigiDestined are hanging out and enjoying Christmas day all together, and the crew is trying to figure out what to play and Davis recommends a game that is not appropriate for children. Davis starts saying "how about strip poker" when he is cut off, leaving viewers confused what they heard.
