One of the most highly anticipated anime live-action adaptations will hit the big screens later this year, and now fans have been given yet another sneak peek of Fullmetal Alchemist’s live action adaptation. The images have been officially released by Warner Bros Studios and shared on Twitter, showcasing a number of the cast members and their characters.

The first photo is of Roy Mustang played by Dean Fujioka, Mustang is known as the famous Flame Alchemist from the Ishval Civil War and an officer in the Amestrian State Military. This image was taken outside of a Florence world heritage site in the Siena, Italy.

While the second image is of Roy Mustang’s right-hand woman and future love interest, Lieutenant Hawkeye or as many would know her as Eagle Eyes. Hawkeye played my Marisa, looks to be lining up alongside her fellow State Military comrades ready for battle.

Meanwhile the last still image released by Warner Bros is of one of the Elric brothers Al showcasing his armor, as well as Winry played by Tsubasa Honda traveling in a train alongside him. Al is the brother of Edward Elric and one of the main protagonists of the Fullmetal Alchemist series. While as for Winry, she is the one who built robotic Edwards arm and continues to work on it every time he damages it, which is actually quite often.

The film will follow the Elric brothers as they try to restore Al’s body, which was taken from them after an Alchemy experiment to bring their deceased mother back, ended horribly. Over their journey, the boys will fall into a long battle with a secret organization, controlled by another experiment gone wrong a long time ago by their father.

The epic anime turned live action film, is set to be released in Japan on December 1st, 2017.
