The Ancient Magus' Bride Releases Teaser And New Visual

When news that The Ancient Magus' Bride will be releasing a television anime series manga fans rejoiced. Well today the staff dropped a bomb on fans of the franchise, as they released all sorts of new information about the series, as well as a new visual and teaser. Below you can see the beautiful visual featuring the main protagonist of the series, Chise Hatori.

The quote feature on the visual comes from the opening lines from the manga: "Beyond the dull walls of cement... deep, deep within the ancient, misty forest... There lies another world. That world is far closer to ours than you might imagine."

Along with this visual we also got confirmation that Crunchyroll will be streaming this anime series as well in October of this year. It was also confirmed that the series will be running for two consecutive cours.

The main cast that was involved with the three-part prequel to the anime, The Ancient Magus' Bride: Those Awaiting a Star will also be returning to do the new series. Actors confirmed for the new series include:

• Atsumi Tanezaki as Chise Hatori
• Ryota Takeuchi as Elias
• Kouki Uchiyama as Ruth
• Aya Endo as Silver

Staff for the new series also seems to be returning from the prequel anime as well. Featuring Norihiro Naganuma directing and writing from Wit Studio.

The three-part prequel anime The Ancient Magus' Bride: Those Awaiting A Star ran for a two-week limited run in Japan back in August of 2016. Crunchyroll also began streaming the first two prequel OVAs so you can get ready before the new series is released.

If you are unfamiliar with The Ancient Magus Bride, the manga was first launched back in 2013 in Mag Garden's Monthly Comic Blade. The manga was then picked up by Comic Garden in Japan, and Seven Seas started publishing volumes in North America. Seven Seas describes the story as the following:

"Chise Hatori has lived a life full of neglect and abuse, devoid of anything resembling love. Far from the warmth of family, she has had her share of troubles and pitfalls. Just when all hope seems lost, a fateful encounter awaits her. When a man with the head of a beast, wielding strange powers, obtains her through a slave auction, Chise's life will never be the same again.

The man is a "magus," a sorcerer of great power, who decides to free Chise from the bonds of captivity. The magus then makes a bold statement: Chise will become his apprentice - and his bride!"

In addition to the new visual, the company started streaming a teaser to promote the upcoming anime as well. The teaser shows important scenes for the story, and features the October release for the Anime at the end.
