Richard Foltz

Richard Foltz is a freelance movie/TV writer at ComicBook.com, a Midwest reporter, an aspiring author, and a film and comic obsessive. He regularly has a stack of books at his side, a slate of ever-growing comics to read, and spends nearly every Sunday inside a movie theater.

When he’s not reading or writing, he’s most likely hanging with his dog and partner, or playing/hosting trivia. An English and Literature graduate of Wright State University, he loves nothing more than digging into a good story, talking or writing about it, or taking it apart.

Once upon a time, he was an aspiring screenwriter and filmmaker who spent his twenties writing screenplays and even made a terrible feature-length film with friends on a shoestring budget.

He enjoys comic book movies as much as he likes a solid Criterion DVD. And if you asked him, he would probably tell you that Alan Moore’s run on The Swamp Thing is as literarily significant as William Faulkner.

You can check him out on LinkedIn or look at pictures of books and his dog on Instagram.
