Community Gets a Return Date, Returns to Thursdays

October 19 is coming on February 7. Community actress Yvette Nicole Brown tweeted earlier today that the series will return on Thursday, February 7, at 8 p.m. The series will reportedly no longer be airing on Fridays, as was originally planned, but will instead return to its regular night on Thursdays, picking up the spot after 30 Rock airs its series finale. The series was originally intended to return on Friday, October 19 along with sophomore comedy Whitney to form a small block of comedy on that night, but NBC changed their mind at the last moment, removing both shows from the schedule and giving no firm airdate at the time. That led to the cast of Community creating the video below, in which Abed told the audience, "We spoke to the Powers That Be, and we agreed to premiere on October 19, but even though the Powers That Be agreed to put the premiere October 19, they couldn't decide where to put October 19….They explained to us that October 19 isn't just a date–it's a state of mind."
