X-Men: Days Of Future Past To Film Scenes In Washington, DC

Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg

Have you wondered how much the X-Men Days of Future Past movie will follow the comic book storyline upon which it is based? Well, director Bryan Singer has dropped a major hint that at least one major scene from the comic book will make it into the movie.

Singer tweeted, “Kinberg trapped on my plane. Heading to Washington for a location scout.” The Kinberg that Bryan Singer is referring to is Simon Kinberg, who helped write the screenplay for X-Men: Days of Future Past. The Washington that Singer is referring to is Washington, D.C., as Singer also tweeted a photo of him and Kinberg in front of the Lincoln Memorial.

In the X-Men: Days of Future Past comic book storyline, Kitty Pryde travels from the future to try to prevent the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants from murdering U.S. Senator Robert Kelly. There is an epic confrontation between the X-Men and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants at the U.S. Senate Building.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 18, 2014.
