Warner Bros. held a "Meet the Family" event featuring a Q&A session with George Barris, the creator of the original Batmobile. The session was moderated by comedian Jeff Dunham. Barris' sister, Cassandra Salapatas-Metz, who is also the Assistant Director of Transportation for Warner Bros., was also in attendance. Most of the conversation was focused on Barris' original Batmobile design for the 1966 Batman television series. Warner Bros. (via Henry Cavill News) has posted a video of the event online. Around the 1:16:00 mark, a fan asks about whether or not the Batmobiles will be making an appearance at this year's Sand Diego Comic-Con for Batman's 75th film anniversary. Salapatas-Metz responds, saying ""Well, I'm not at liberty to say, but I think you might have a point there. But I think…let's put it this way, it's been spoken of...so always possible. We're at the ready, us teamsters…we're ready to roll if need be." Dunham then chimes in, asking, "And the other Bat...the new Batmobile is finished, but no one's seen it?" Salapatas-Metz replies, "That is true, that is true, it's all under wraps as they say." So apparently the design for the Batmobile in Batman vs. Superman is complete. Warner Bros. is also considering bringing their Batmobiles to Comic-Con this year in celebration of Batman's 75th anniversary on film. Will that be where Warner Bros. unveils the design for the new Batmobile? Batman vs. Superman is scheduled to hit theaters May 6, 2016.
