won't be a movie about villains simply being villains. Speaking to IGN, producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach said that the characters are much more complex than that. "There's no such thing as just a villain," says Tolmach. "There are villains by virtue of choices that people make but they always begin as humans, as characters. As flawed people; as tragic people. You know great movies have been made about a bunch of bad guys who get together to do something." "And everybody's looking for redemption," said Arad, "they're unforgiven. Would you see one of the Sinister Six starting to feel like that? Yes. And people love it, by the way. They love when a villain finds his way back because we're all very forgiving." Sinister Six will be a spinoff film in the Amazing Spider-Man franchise. The Sinister Six are a group of Spider-Man's greatest foes who come together through their shared hatred of the web-slinger. Their debut has been heavily teased during the promotion of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, though there is still no confirmation on whether or not we'll see all six villains come together in the film. Cabin in the Woods director, Drew Goddard, will direct Sinister Six. Tolmach and Arad remained tightlipped on Spider-Man's role, if any, in the spinoff film. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 comes to theaters May 2.
