Guardians Of The Galaxy's Dave Bautista Talks Leaving Multi-Million Dollar Career In Wrestling To Pursue Acting

In a new video released by Marvel, Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista shares what it was that convinced him to leave his career as a professional wrestler in order to pursue acting.

Turns out, it's because he was really bad at acting.

"I had done a small role in a film," say Bautista, "as a favor to a friend. I realized two things: one, how much I loved it, and two, the other thing is just how bad I was at it. Like, I was really just horrible, which I think made it challenging. I'm one of those guys that, when something's challenging to me, it makes me want to pursue it and be better at it, even if it means leaving behind a multi-millon dollar career in wrestling just to pursue it."

Bautista plays Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy, now playing in theaters.
