NetherRealm Studios Creative Director and Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon is always pretty engaging with the community, and his latest polling of the audience has to do with the recently announced Injustice Gods Among Us 2.

On his Twitter account, the popular creator asked: "Who do you MOST want to see in Injustice 2?" with the options being Blue Beetle, Captain Cold, and Swamp Thing. In the initial trailer for the game, an eagle-eyed fan spotted a diagram of Captain Cold's gun, but no one is sure of whether that is just fan service or a hint that he is actually in the game as a playable character already.

The predominant votes on Twitter seem to be for Blue Beetle and Swamp Thing. As many have pointed out, adding Swamp Thing to the roster could provide the developers a truly unique power-set to play around with. As for Beetle, since the game focuses on leveling up your character"s armor as you gain experience, Jaime Reyes would be a perfect fit. If they do decide to go with Jaime, who is the most recent Beetle, it would still be nice to get a Ted Kord costume in some DLC further down the line.

Captain Cold could be a fun character to work with, but it would be odd to have two ice-powered villains on the same roster, as Killer Frost was included in the original game. She was a bit disappointing in her moves and abilities, however, so maybe going the Captain Cold route would shake things up.

NetherRealm recently confirmed that Supergirl, Atrocitus, and Gorilla Grodd would be making in into the game, with Kara appearing in the first trailer. Supergirl also made our top 5 list of wanted characters, along with Deadshot, Black Canary, John Constantine, and Darkseid. All good choices to be sure, but the twitter community also threw in some additional requests, such as Booster Gold, Starfire, and Beast Boy.

With so many characters to pick from, narrowing it down to just 30 characters is difficult. It seems like a lot but compared to the entire DC Universe it isn't actually that many. They could free up one spot immediately by making sure Sub Zero or Scorpion don't make a reappearance in the sequel though, so there's one open spot right there.
