DC and Warner Bros. made waves earlier this week when they announced that Joss Whedon would be directing, writing, and producing a solo Batgirl film. Fans were still trying to process that when news hit his project might be focusing on the New 52 era of the character, helmed by fan-favorite writer Gail Simone.
While she's transformed yet again into the Burnside version, this phenomenal cosplay from Breathlessness perfectly depicts the character in her New 52 form. It took the classic black and yellow color scheme and added some modern armor elements to it. Breathlessness did an amazing job bringing that design to life and even brought along some Batarangs for show.
Her photoshoot is complimented by lovely hues of purple and pink, with hints of the city she protects in the background. The photos highlight the suit extremely well, and that's thanks to the effort of photographer Pireze, who handled all the photos you see here.

The DCEU continues with Wonder Woman opens in theaters on June 2, 2017, followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017; Aquaman on July 27, 2018; Shazam on April 5, 2019; Justice League 2 on June 14, 2019; Cyborg on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps on July 24, 2020. The Flash, The Batman, Dark Universe, Batgirl, Nightwing, and Man of Steel 2 are currently without a release dates.
