Black Friday has become one of the most sacred of American holidays - that time when we indulge our highest national wish: buying great new things at reduced prices. Whether it's those hot-ticket electronics, discounted household wares, or that one purchase you've been watching like a hawk for months, Black Friday usually gets you on the hook for something, somehow, someway.

Hardcore geeks tend to be serious collectors, and the Black Friday marketplace can be overwhelming when it comes to narrowing down your choices on comics, collectibles, movies, video games, and everything in between. In that spirit, here are the 2016 Best Black Friday Deals for Geeks.

Marvel Comics

Marvel Comics is offering some "Cyber Week Sales" for its digital comics that fans may want to take note of:

All Secret Wars classic collections are 80% off until 11/27.
Various other collections (Captain Marvel, Deadpool & Cable, Guardians of the Galaxy, Daredevil) are also 80% off until 11/28.

DC Comics will be offering its popular 'REBIRTH' titles on a 'buy one, get one free' special from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday.

In a larger promotion for the holiday season, the publisher will offer, "750 issues of iconic Batman stories on sale for 99 cents each for seven days, running November 25-December 1. Plus, on December 1, fans can also purchase 23 essential Vertigo graphic novels for $4.99 each during the Cyber Monday Sale."
