Last season on an episode of DC's Legend of Tomorrow, titled "Star City 2046," the crew of the Waverider traveled to an alternate future in which they never stopped Vandal Savage, never returned home, and their beloved city is in ruins and overrun by criminals. Along the way, they meet Connor Hawke (took up the Green Arrow mantle), who in this interpretation is actually John Diggle’s son, John Diggle Jr.
This certainly caused a bit of confusion, because, at that time on Arrow, Diggle only had a baby girl, Sara. But since Sara has been erased from existence, thanks to The Flash tinkering with time, John Jr. now exists in the post-Flashpoint timeline.
So, can fans expect John Jr. existence to tie into Connor Hawke's storyline? "That's supposed to happen," David Ramsey said during Saturday's Arrow panel at Heroes & Villains Fan Fest.
Ramsey was also asked to pick his favorite fictional baby: John Jr. or Sara. He shared some admiration for baby Sara, who was named after Sara Lance (who had recently died when the girl was born) and ended up picking her as his favorite. He made sure to add, "Though, I love Johnny Jr."
ARROW CELEBRATES 100 EPISODES; THE EPIC SUPERHERO CROSSOVER CONTINUES — Oliver (Stephen Amell) wakes up to a life where he never got on The Queen’s Gambit. Robert (guest star Jamey Sheridan) and Moira Queen (guest star Susanna Thompson) are alive and well. Laurel (guest star Katie Cassidy) is his loving fiancée and their wedding is imminent. Everything seems perfect, but Oliver starts to notice small imperfections that make him question this new reality. Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and the recruits take on a new threat with help from The Flash (guest star Grant Gustin) and Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist).
James Bamford directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti and written by Marc Guggenheim & Wendy Mericle.
Supergirl airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT; The Flash on Tuesdays at the same time; Arrow on Wednesdays and DC's Legends of Tomorrow on Thursdays. All four series air on The CW. The "Invasion!" crossover will air beginning November 28.
