Doomsday has killed Superman in comics, on the small screen in animation, in videogames, and even on the big screen in live-action. Now, he'll finally have the chance to conquer a new medium, as the mighty villain becomes a LEGO minifig.
Doomsday will debut in the Super Heroes Mighty Micros line at Comic-Con International: San Diego, in a set called "Wonder Woman vs. Doomsday," THR revealed. The set runs at $9.99 and include the two character minifigs, plus small build-it vehicles (yes, that means a tiny invisible jet) for each of them. While LEGO is showing off the new set at SDCC, they won't actually be selling it there; it goes on sale in January 2017.
The other new Super Heroes Mighty Micros sets at the show will be "Batman vs. Killer Moth" and "Superman vs. Bizarro." The former includes a very classic-looking 60s-style Bat-copter, and a vehicle designed to look like a moth, snout and all. The latter is basically just two cars, but with fists on them (Bizarro's car is built to look like it drives backwards).
Fans interested in collecting all the Mighty Micros sets based on DC Comics should look for "Robin vs. Bane," "The Flash vs. Captain Cold," and "Batman vs. Catwoman" in stores now. Take a full-size look at the new sets below.
