Fans only have to wait a few months before Justice League rips into theaters, and Zack Snyder is taking time to hype fans for the premiere. The director might have stepped away from the film earlier this summer, but Snyder still has plenty of behind-the-scenes treats to give fans. And, now, the director is sharing a brand-new look at one of Justice League's Amazons.
Over on Vero, Snyder posted a photo which set photographer Clay Enos snapped for Justice League. The promotional image shows spokesmodel Pixie Lang dressed in her full Amazonian gear.
"My friend [Pixie Lang]," Snyder captioned the image. "I wanted her in the movie so she said yes to join the ranks of the Amazons."
There are no spoiler-friendly tidbits to glean from the minimal picture, but fans can appreciate Lang's Amazon look. The model can be seen wearing a tight-fitting armored corset and flowing skirt. Lang is also shown donning some heeled sandals like those which Wonder Woman wears, and she is armed with a shield and staff.
There is no definitive word from DC Films about how the Amazons will fit into Justice League, but fans have pieced together an answer. The various trailers for Snyder's film contain footage of the Amazons going head-to-head against an alien army that likely hails from Apokolips. Clips have also been released of Queen Hippolyta and her guards on Themyscira as they brace themselves for the arrival of Steppenwolf, a general who operates under the villain Darkseid.
The Amazons will play a large role in setting up Justice League's other-worldly villains, and fans can rest assure the heroines will go to war against the baddies. Talent like Lang was brought in to fill the ranks of the DCEU's Amazonian army, so audiences can anticipate to see more than a few badass battles with the mystical warriors
