Ben Affleck will don the cape and cowl once again in Justice League, but his son's recent revelation has him rethinking his film choices.

Affleck appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and during the conversation Affleck's son Sam came up in conversation. Specifically regarding how he feels about his dad being Batman on screen

"He was you know thrilled that I was playing Batman, and we were starting up the publicity thing again and it was coinciding with Halloween and he came to me and said 'Dad, I have a costume that I want more than anything!', and I was like (gestures confidently) I have some connections," Affleck said.

Unfortunately, it wasn't exactly what Affleck was expecting. "He said 'I want to be Flash'...so there you go. Turned out it wasn't worth it. Yeah, the whole thing. Years of my life wasted."

Steppenwolf couldn't even deliver a punch that hard. That's cold Sam, so cold.

It's even colder when you consider that Sam was one of the main reasons Affleck took the role in the first place.

"Literally, the reason I took this movie is imagining wearing that costume and I've got a little boy and having my son see me," Affleck told Jimmy Kimmel. "Everybody wants their kid to think of them as a superhero before they get too smart."

The good news is that at least Sam still wants to be a member of the Justice League. Affleck had a pretty big hand in that, so that's still something to be proud of. It's not like he said he wanted to be Captain America or something.

Also, not many kids can actually say "my dad is Batman", so that's still a pretty big feather in the cap. Plus, audiences seem to enjoy Affleck's take on the Dark Knight as well.

Justice League currently has a 67.24 on ComicBook.com's composite rankings, and you can submit your own ranking for the film here.

Justice League is now in theaters.
