We recently got an even better look at the DC superheroes of Zack Snyder's Justice League movie in full costumed form. That photo has provided opportunity for even closer looks and analysis of (almost) every individual hero in the League.
We've cut the photo up into individual characters to examine and learn more about the costumes that Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Mamoa), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) will wear in Justice League. For more on what we know (so far), and/or to discuss what we may see in the film, read on!
In this better (more lit) shot of Batman's (Ben Affleck) tactical armor, we can tell several new details:
- Reinforced Cowl
- Goggles that slip over the cowl eye sockets
- Better look at the armor plating layout
- The metallic utility belt
- Pop-out blades on the gloves
All in all, the tactical armor looks like a nice balance between Batman's standard costume, and the heavy armored suit he wore in Batman v Superman.prevnext
Wonder Woman's armor will be the one costume (besides Superman) that we've seen the most in the DCEU, by the time Justice League Arrives.
Nothing really too new in this photo - except the eyes: they look different, almost like they been altered or affected. Could be just the makeup and lighting in the photo, though...prevnext
Probably the most interesting new look in the bunch is actor Ray Fisher as Vic Stone/Cyborg.
This is the character that moviegoers are probably the least familiar with, and this particular design for the movie (as particularly articulated by this photo) mixes that Robocop/Terminator aesthetic with a crystalline alien metal that's like something out of Michael Bay's Transformers.
This photo does convey how malleable the metal parts of Cyborg's body are, better than any other photo we've seen before it. It's getting easier to see how in the actual moving footage, Cyborg's machinery will be "alive," constantly working and moving. Should be pretty cool when he finally gets the hang of it in battle.prevnext
We've seen several different shots of Ezra Miller's Flash, but this one does over a great straight-on angle, as well as more of the aesthetic feel to the costume. Several great takeaways are:
- Our best look yet at the golden lightning flares of the costume. That includes the bolts on the head, hips, forearms, shins and chest.
- The wiring laced across the costume, to presumably hold it together at high velocity speeds.
This is definitely our best look yet at the details of the Aquaman costume that Jason Mamoa will wear.
It's pretty much a spot-on adaptation of Aquaman, throwing many nods to the character's comic book history (and variations) with the scale-like design of the suit. At the same time, it's golden, "undersea treasure," shine, shoulder pads, and fiercesome trident also convey that this man is a king of a powerful realm (Atlantis).
As we said: pretty spot on!prevnext
