By the sound of Iris West actress Kiersey Clemons, the upcoming Justice League film does right by the character in her introduction.
The Justice League movie has been given the major responsibility of introducing iconic DC Comics characters within the limitations of being one movie. With Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman well-established by now, characters such as Aquaman, The Flash, and possibly Green Lantern are all coming into the mix, eager for development.
With each of those characters come additional faces which surround them in their respective lives, cities, or underwater worlds. For The Flash, in particular, Iris West will be thrown into the cinematic mix for the first time while trying to avoid copying her television counterpart.
I finished all my stuff with Zack [Snyder], I wish him well and I have no idea what’s going on right now but I’m sure whatever they’re doing is necessary. I know the parts that I did introducing Iris are f---ing sick. I can’t wait to see the movie. I’m so happy that I’ve been introduced to this genre because I didn’t really have any type of desire to be a part of any superhero world. And then I stepped on the set of Justice League and I was like, "Holy s---. All right!"
Joining Clemons in the first-timer club for Justice League as far as cinematic appearances go will also be Amber Heard, who is playing the Aquaman-centric character of Mera, and J.K. Simmons as Batman character Commissioner Gordon.
