AMC has released another sneak peek from the season finale of Preacher, which is titled "Call and Response," and it shows the large, anxious, and eccentric crowd that is attending the Sunday church service. Most of them are there because Jesse Custer promised to make God appear. Will he/she/it appear? You'll have to tune in tomorrow night to find out!
The finale's synopsis: It's the day the entire town has been waiting for, as Jesse tries to follow through on his promise to get answers from Heaven."
Based on the popular cult comic book franchise of the same name, "Preacher" is a supernatural, twisted and darkly comedic drama that follows a West Texas preacher named Jesse Custer, who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that causes him to develop a highly unusual power. Jesse, his badass ex -girlfriend Tulip and an Irish vagabond named Cassidy come together and when they do, they are thrust into a crazy world populated by a cast of charact ers from heaven, hell and everywhere in between.
The series stars Dominic Cooper ("Captain America: The First Avenger," "Need for Speed") as Jesse Custer, Ruth Negga ("World War Z," "The Samaritan") as Tulip, Joseph Gilgun ("This is England," "Lockout") as Cassidy, Lucy Griffiths ("Winter's Tale," "Robin Hood") as Emily, Earl W. Brown ("There's Something About Mary," "Scream") as Sheriff Root, Ian Colletti ("Phoebe in Wonderland," "Baby Momma") as Eugene and Derek Wilson ( "Rectify") as Donnie Schenck.
