It seems fans might be getting an extended cut of Justice League after all, though it might be different than the one they're asking for.

A large subsection of fans are wanting Warner Bros. to release a director's cut of Justice League when it hits home video, as it seems many scenes were cut from the final product. IGN's Mario-F. Robles is reporting that WB is considering it, but some fans will still not be happy.

"For the home release of #JusticeLeague, WB is mulling over packaging it as a #Superman Trilogy, alongside MOS and BvS. And here's the kicker: It would include an Extended Cut of JL," Robles said. "BUT! It'd be an extended version of the theatrical cut. Not Snyder's cut."

That second cut he's referring to is the current hot topic de jour. There's a section of fans specifically want a Zack Snyder cut of the film. Snyder left Justice League midway through production, handing off the finalization of the film to Joss Whedon, and some say that is one of the main issues with the film.

Since the film's theatrical release more and more scenes seem to be leaking that didn't make it into the film, including some pretty substantial ones. Some close to the project say there is no Snyder cut, but that hasn't stopped fans from starting a highly popular petition.

Even just taking the Snyder stuff out of the debate, an ultimate edition would be welcome, and could give the movie some new life on home video. It worked out quite well for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, with many citing it as a much better film than the one that hit theaters.

Thus far Justice League has pulled in over $205 million domestically, with a worldwide total of over $576 million. That's well under expectations, especially from a domestic standpoint, which only makes up 35% of its total box office.

Justice League currently holds a 62.08 on ComicBook.com's composite ranking, and you can submit your score for the movie here.
