Starbuck is officially making landfall on The CW's The Flash.
Sackhoff will play the DC Comics villain Amunet Black, also known as Blacksmith, according to Entertainment Weekly. Blacksmith runs a black market for supervillains and "uses every means possible, including the long list of metahumans under her thumb, to ensure her illicit enterprise thrives."
Sackhoff's Blacksmith will show up in the fifth episode of the new season, titled "Girl's Night Out," which will also feature a guest appearance by Arrow star Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak.
Sackhoff is best known for playing hotshot pilot Kara "Starbuck" Thrace on Syfy's reboot of Battlestar Galactica. Her other credits include roles on Longmire and 24.
Sackhoff is just the latest Battlestar Galactica alum to join the Arrowverse. Aaron Douglas, who played Chief Galen Tyrol on Battlestar Galactica, played the villain Turtle on The Flash. Fellow former Battlestar Galactica stars Tahmoh Penikett, James Callis, and Rekha Sharma have appeared on Arrow.
Blacksmith is just one villain confirmed the fourth season of The Flash. The series has also cast the DC Comics villain Hazard as the season's big bad, The Tinkerer, and Danny Trejo as an interdimensional bounty hunter, but they're going to need more bad guys than that, and we have some ideas about who they should choose.
The Flash returns for its fourth season on The CW on Tuesday, October 10th at 8 p.m. ET.
