For those who thought Wonder Woman wasn't getting enough advertising, it looks like the promotional strategy is finally coming around. There have been several teasers and TV spots released over the last week or so, and today is no exception.
Late Monday night, into early Tuesday morning, Warner Bros. released two new TV spots for the upcoming film. Titled 'Hero' and 'Queen' these ads are enough to keep the hype train rolling.
The two spots highlight Diana's two future roles. One is for the Queen she's set to become in her homeland, and the other is for the hero that the people of Earth need most.
You can watch 'Queen' at the top of the screen, and 'Hero' below!
Wonder Woman opens in theaters in the United States and in the United Kingdom on June 2, 2017.
Before she was Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, Diana meets an American pilot (Chris Pine) who tells her about the massive conflict that's raging in the outside world. Convinced that she can stop the threat, Diana leaves her home for the first time. Fighting alongside men in a war to end all wars, she finally discovers her full powers and true destiny.
Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins, from a screenplay by Allan Heinberg & Geoff Johns, story by Heinberg & Zack Snyder and Jason Fuchs, and stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis, Saïd Taghmaoui, Ewen Bremner and David Thewlis.
Wonder Woman was created by William Moulton Marston for DC Comics. She made her first appearance in All Star Comics #8 in 1941 and has gone on to become a feminist icon and one of DC Comics' most beloved and recognizable characters. Though she had a popular television series in the 1970s starring Lynda Carter, the Wonder Woman movie will be the character's first time headlining a film.
