It looks like upcoming CGI film Resident Evil: Vendetta is going to try to be all things to all fans. It's a back-to-basics "STARS agents explore a creepy house" horror movie, a surprisingly graphic gorefest, and a completely over-the-top action movie. We'll be focusing on the latter with our latest bit of footage.

In the new Resident Evil: Vendetta clip, Leon Kennedy is being chased down the freeway by the series' trademark zombie dogs. Even though Leon's on a souped-up motorcycle, the dogs more than keep up with him – they actually overtake him. Leon has to do some pretty fancy riding and shooting to get the determined beasties off his tail. Man, if these dogs had come crashing in the window in the original Resident Evil, I probably would have quit the series there and then.

Here's a quick rundown for Resident Evil: Vendetta

"Resident Evil: Vendetta the third installment in the massively popular CG animated film franchise. Based on Capcom's Resident Evil, one of the bestselling video game franchises of all time, Resident Evil: Vendetta features fan-favorite characters Leon S. Kennedy (Matt Mercer), Chris Redfield (Kevin Dorman) and Rebecca Chambers (Erin Cahill). The film is executive produced by Takashi Shimizu (The Grudge), written by Makoto Fukami (Psycho Pass), and directed by Takanori Tsujimoto (Bushido Man)."
