Spider-Man as a film property has been owned by Sony Pictures Studios for quite a while, as the company was involved with bringing the Spider-Man character to the big-screen almost eight years before Marvel Studios was even established.
With these details it didn't come as a surprise when Insomniac's latest Spider-Man game was showcased at the PlayStation press conference, this is considering how PlayStation is a Sony brand and Insomniac's previous relationship with the console brand. However, what makes this Spider-Man title different when compared to the other Spider-Man games created by Activision, is that it will definitely not be multiplatform.
The confirmation of this comes by Twitter, as the developer of the upcoming web-slinging excursion, Insomniac, confirmed that the title is published by Sony and will indefinitely remain a PlayStation 4 exclusive.

Unfortunately, this means you're out of luck if you were hoping for Insomniac's Spider-Man to come to anything besides PlayStation 4 platforms. However, even without a PlayStation 4, you can still catch up on information about the game here.
Spider-Man swings exclusively to PlayStation 4 at a currently indefinite timeframe in 2018.
