Nintendo Bringing Back NES Classic Edition, Ramping Up SNES Classic Supply
Dry those tears, Nintendo fans, and still your fingers; no need to write those hate posts on your [...]
And for those who never got an NES Classic Edition
And what about those of us still yearning for the glory days of 8-bit sprites? We still want to play Super Mario Bros. and Kirby's Adventure on the big screen! Are we out of luck? Nintendo says no!
"Next summer, Nintendo will also bring back the Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition system with new shipments. More information about the timing of the return of NES Classic Edition will be announced in the future. NES Classic Edition features 30 classic NES games such as the original Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda and Donkey Kong."
This is great news. No doubt the conspiracy theorist will submit that Nintendo drummed up all of this hype and demand by intentionally making both of these consoles seem hard to get in the first place, and that this morning's press release was planned from the very beginning. That's fine; we don't care. We're just happy that we'll be able to snag both of these little guys without spending obscene amounts of money!
So how about it? Now that you know you won't have to pay your uncle Rex who works at Nintendo a thousand dollars to smuggle these consoles out of Nintendo headquarters, are you looking forward to picking them up for yourself? Is this the news you've been waiting for?
