The Turning Tides expansion for Battlefield 1 was already scheduled to be released throughout December and January, but a date for the DLC has now surfaced that might give players an idea of when to expect its release.

While leaks will occasionally come from third-party sources, this leak, if true, actually comes straight from the game itself. An update on the game's website that detailed the specifics of Battlefield 1 Revolution, a bundle that includes the game and special incentives such as future content, listed a release date for when those with early access privileges could get first try out the upcoming expansion.

Dec. 11 is the date that was listed alongside the discount information within Battlefield 1 Revolution's description with the mention of the "Two-week Early Access to Battlefield 1 Turning Tides Starting December 11." That would put the start date for early access users on a Monday, a day of the week that might indicate that Dec. 11 is instead a placeholder.

However, it appears as though that date wasn't supposed to be up there in the first place. Battlefield Bulletin, a Twitter account that keeps track of all news and developments concerning Battlefield, noticed the date and tweeted about it. They warned that it might be a placeholder date as well, but what's interesting is that the date has now been removed from the site. The description of the bundle still talks about the savings you'll have from purchasing it now, but it no longer mentions anything about Dec. 11 or when you can start playing the new expansion ahead of everyone else.

The date being taken off of the description likely means that it was never supposed to go up there in the first place, but whether that indicates a simple miscommunication or a leaked release date remains to be seen. Whether it starts on Dec. 11 or not, the content from the Turning Tides expansion that includes new maps, weapons, factions, and more will begin going live in December and will continue rolling out into January.
