The Assassin's Creed saga has been a fascinating one, taking us all over the place, from the streets of Venice to pirating waters to the dark, murky corners of London. But did you ever wonder where it all began? Thanks to Ubisoft, we've gotten a better idea.

The publisher has just released a new trailer for Assassin's Creed Origins that details where the the Brotherhood came from, with Bayek, the lead star of the forthcoming game, paving the way for future assassins to come. You can watch the trailer above.

In it, we get a few more details regarding what Bayek is all about, serving as a "protector of Egypt." As his land comes upon the brink of collapse, Bayek steps up and vows to protect "the true pharaoh of Egypt" in the hopes of bringing down the evil forces ruining his land.

If that isn't enough, the publisher has also compiled a number of its smaller clips into one bigger "Tales From the Tomb" trailer, which takes a more lighthearted look at the saga of Egypt, like with girls wondering why Bayek is taking a slide down the side of a pyramid, as well as Egyptian guys trying to hide a body. "What if we build a humongous pyramid over the course of, I dunno, a couple of centuries or something?" It may not be everyone's speed, but for those that are looking for a laugh, it's worth the watch. You can watch it below.
