A new launch trailer has been released for Assassin's Creed Origins that's sure to send a quick spine-tingle through Assassin's Creed fans who have anxiously been waiting for the next game.

With the trailer opening by saying that all of the footage included has been captured in 4K, it's an excellent start to an even better trailer. Jumping seamlessly between hieroglyphs to actual gameplay, the trailer tells powerful story about the game's protagonist, Bayek.

As Bayek, players will be tasked with fighting and exploring the Egyptian landscape while working their way through Assassin's Creed Origins' story. Form the way that the trailer makes the main character sound, Bayek is definitely shaping up to be one of the most impressive leads across all of the Assassin's Creed games. The narration of the trailer explains that Bayek's shadowy assassination techniques have become known around the world, so players can expect Bayek to be pretty well-known in the game, likely with a whole cast of enemies who oppose his and the Creed's goals.

While Bayek is trained in the art of assassination, it also looks like players will be able to flex their combat prowess in arena-like environments as well. The trailer shows Bayek in what looks like a massive coliseum where he's taking on several other fighters, possibly a way for players to grind some currency or items, but it could also be an unwilling fight that's part of the story.

Of course, the animals look like they'll be just as much of an obstacle as the human adversaries are in the game. The trailer shows a brief look at a crocodile that's pursuing Bayek underwater, an example that's just one of many different animals that'll inhabit the Egyptian landscape. One of the trophies in the game even involves running away from hippos, so you can imagine that those must be pretty fearsome to face as well. Bayek can apparently train these animals to assist him in fights as well, so animals that might one time cause you trouble will eventually be your allies.

The launch trailer was a breathtaking look at the game, but it'll look even more impressive when it's released on Oct. 27 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Currently, Amazon Prime members can save 20% when they pre-order.
