Batman: The Enemy Within Episode Three’s Trailer Shows Rough Times To Come

Earlier this week, Telltale Games confirmed that Batman: The Enemy Within's third episode would make its debut next week, on November 21st. Today, the publisher provided a first look in terms of what's to come for Bruce Wayne and his Batman alter-ego, in what could be the most challenging chapter in the series to date.

The third chapter, titled Fractured Mask, sets the stage for a power showdown between Amanda Waller and James Gordon, with Wayne right in the middle. But if things aren't already hectic enough for him, he's working undercover to try and find out more information about The Pact, a group of villains that will stop at nothing to attain power in Gotham.

The trailer features a number of familiar faces, including Batman, Alfred, Waller, Catwoman (who gets emotionally involved, considering her relationship status), Bane, Harley Quinn and, of course, The Joker.

Here's the official synopsis, straight from the publisher:

"After an unexpected reunion, Bruce finds his attention (and his loyalties) stretched in yet another direction. Now, in addition to brokering a power struggle between Commissioner Gordon and Amanda Waller, Bruce must balance romantic entanglements with his mission to infiltrate the Pact. As he plunges deeper into the criminal underworld, the villains' plan starts to come into focus, but will his deceptions take a dire toll?"

You can watch the trailer above and see what all is about to go down, including what could be a havoc-filled road trip with Wayne and Joker, as well as Harley Quinn's somewhat dramatic entrance when meeting up with the Pact. There also appears to be some rough emotional turmoil ahead, especially with Catwoman involved.

Batman: The Enemy Within is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and will release on Nintendo Switch soon.
