Darksiders III Drops Some New Gameplay, Fury Pulls No Punches

When it was revealed earlier this year that Darksiders III was inbound, fans of the incredibly 'dark' franchise were more than just a little hyped. But since then, news has been incredibly silent about the next installment, until now that is.

Though it's not a huge reveal like many were hoping, it does give us a closer look at Fury's mechanics as well as a more detailed insight into the game's environmentals. As a part of the new IGN First program, the studio behind the third installment has provided a little more info on Fury's fury as she absolutely wrecks the Brute that is in her way. Check it out for yourself in the gameplay demo below:

As far as the official description goes for the upcoming game:

"Return to an apocalyptic planet Earth in Darksiders III, a hack-n-slash action adventure where players take on the role of Fury in her quest to hunt down and dispose of the Seven Deadly Sins. The Charred Council calls upon Fury to battle from the heights of heaven down through the depths of hell in a quest to restore humanity and prove that she is the most powerful of the Horsemen. As a mage, Fury relies on her whip and magic to restore the balance between good and evil. The expansive, Darksiders III game world is presented as an open-ended, living, free-form planet Earth that is dilapidated by war and decay, and overrun by nature. Fury will move back and forth between environments to uncover secrets while advancing the Darksiders III story."

Darksiders III does not currently have a set release window at this time other than an anticipated 2018 launch.
