Destiny

With all the hoopla that's currently going into Destiny 2, the original Destiny has pretty much become a ghost town, though there are still a few devoted players running through and grinding away on content. And they're probably the ones that will appreciate the newly arrived content in the Xbox One version of the game.

Wait, the original Destiny got an update? Looks that way. This Reddit user recently noted that the content that was previously exclusive for the PlayStation 4 is now available through Xbox One, including events that were tied in with the Taken King and Rise of Iron expansions.

According to the details, players can now check out the gear sets that were missing from the Xbox One edition of Destiny, along with the previously exclusive Echo Chamber strike, as well as the Icarus and Sector 618 Crucible maps. So those of you that are still digging around in the original game, you can have it the next time you start it up.

In addition, all of Rise of Iron's PlayStation exclusive content is available as well, in case you haven't dipped back into Destiny 2 just yet.

We're not sure why it unlocked – and why it did so without Bungie noting anything about it. It's probably due to Activision's exclusive agreement with Sony with Destiny-related content. Whatever the case, fans can now dig in for whatever they were missing out on. You know, if you're not too busy playing through the sequel.

Destiny 2 is available now for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and will release on October 24th for PC.
