Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series - Episode Two, Under Pressure, finally launches tomorrow! "Get a glimpse into Rocket Raccoon's origins in the next episode of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series - premiering June 6!" The launch trailer just dropped, and it teases some huge moments. You can watch it above.
"The Guardians just can't seem to outrun the past (or their tab), but if they figure out how to control the untold power of their mysterious new relic, they might not have to. With help from dubious old friends and unwilling new allies, Star-Lord and company scour the galaxy for answers. But how long can they elude the genocidal maniac hunting them? And will simmering tensions finally tear the team apart?"
Episode One Spoilers Ahead.
It would seem that after taking down Thanos and procuring this powerful new relic, our Guardians are starting to encounter a few vivid hallucinations. At the end of Episode One we saw a flippant disregard for the thing -- Star-Lord was taking shots out of it -- but now it has now found new significance after a new threat has decided that it belongs in her hands.
Episode Two also promises to shine a newly revealing light on Rocket Raccoon. This mysterious Relic seems to be triggering events that have happened in the past and events that could happen in the future. We can't tell for sure, but it looks like Rocket will be reliving the events of his life before he joined up with the Guardians. We may even get a peek at a potential love interest (we're as intrigued as you are).
Additionally, it sounds like Gamora's sister will play a key role in deciphering the glyphs on the outside of the relic, and players will get to travel to meet her to piece together this mystery. Whether players want to focus more on her or on Rocket's past life may be one of the bigger decisions made, and Telltale fans know that whichever path you take, you're likely to find significance consequences, for better or for worse, in later episodes.
Under Pressure will be available tomorrow on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, Android, and iOS for $4.99.
