Destiny 2 is ready to drop on consoles next week, and PC soon thereafter, and it promises to be a huge improvement over the first game. But, believe it or not, there are some people out there that still haven't played Destiny.

It's not that uncommon an occurrence. I mean, after all, there are other games on the market besides Destiny, and some people may have just missed out because of those, or because it's still sitting in their game stack to get around to.

But thankfully, Activision and Bungie are here to help out. The team has posted a new video that explains exactly what Destiny 2 is. "It's an action shooter!" the trailer beams, and that's just the beginning of the interesting factoids that are discussed with the game. Of course, if you're a vet, this is all news you're aware of already. But it never hurts to fill in the others.

It starts with "What is Destiny 2?" and then gets into other things, like it's epic story revolving around Earth's last city being under siege, and everyone trying to overthrow Gaul in the hopes of taking it back.

It also talks about playing solo, or teaming up with new friends in 3-player co-op strikes and six-player Raids, and making a few new ones along the way. You can also get paired up with Fireteams, take on players in the Crucible head-to-head in 4 vs. 4 action, and even call in back-up should the situation call for it.

It also goes over the three player classes – Warlock, Titan and Hunter, and talks about how you can customize pretty much everything in the game, as well as take part in massive battles and exploration. And, yes, there's an offer for a hug as well. So you pretty much get everything.

The trailer can be seen above, and it's good fun to watch if you're into the series. And if you're not, well, there's no better time to jump in, ya noob.

Destiny 2 arrives on September 6 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PC version arrives later on October 24th, but there's a beta happening now.
