Hideo Kojima and Jordan Peele Announce New Xbox Horror Game OD

Hideo Kojima revealed a new horror game at The Game Awards called OD.

Hideo Kojima has revealed a new game at The Game Awards 2023, and it's a new horror game like fans have been asking for. More specifically, it's a new horror game called OD, which previously leaked but hasn't been officially announced, let alone revealed. And much like Death Stranding 2, which is a PlayStation-published game, this game is being published by Xbox Game Studios, signaling it will be an Xbox console exclusive when it releases. When it will release though, remains to be seen. There's not only no word of a release date, but there is no word of platforms.

Joining Hideo Kojima in the game's creation is is Jordan Peele, though right now it's unclear how involved he is with the project. He's confirmed himself as a "collaborator," but what exactly that means, remains to be seen. In addition to this, Kojima teases he's assembled the "avengers" work on the game, which he teases is reference to the "legendary" team he has put together for the game. As for the game, there are currently no details on it. There is the trailer, but the trailer in itself reveals next to nothing other than some big name acting talent, which is par the course with Hideo Kojima.

If this pitch sounds familiar, it's because it was reported on earlier this year that the previoously announced partnership between Hideo Kojima and Xbox was for a game called Overdose. This appears to be that game, but it looks like the game may just be called OD.  It's, unfortunately, like most things about this game right now, is unclear.
