Pokemon fans can now get Ash's Pikachu for their copy of Pokemon Sun and Moon, although they might want to wait a bit longer depending on which hat they want Pikachu to wear.
Players can use the code PIKACHU20 in Pokemon Sun and Moon's Mystery Gift menu to unlock a Pikachu wearing one of Ash Ketchum's iconic hats. Which hat the Pikachu wears varies based on when players redeem the code.
If players redeem the code between today and September 25th, Ash's Pikachu will wear his original "Pokemon League" cap seen in the original anime. Beginning next Tuesday, players can use the code to unlock a Pikachu wearing the hat worn by Ash during his travels through the Hoenn region. Which hat will swap every week, so players will need to wait for the hat they want Pikachu to wear.
The full release schedule is below:
- September 19th – 25th : Ash’s Pikachu (Original Cap)
- September 26th – October 2nd : Ash’s Pikachu (Hoenn Cap)
- October 3rd – 9th : Ash’s Pikachu (Sinnoh Cap)
- October 10th – 16th : Ash’s Pikachu (Unova Cap)
- October 17th – 23rd : Ash’s Pikachu (Kalos Cap)
- October 24th – 30th : Ash’s Pikachu (Alola Cap)
Please note that the code can only be used once, which means that players have to choose which hat wearing Pikachu they want. In addition to the different styles of hats, each Pikachu also has different moves based on what moves Pikachu knew during various eras of the Pokemon anime.0comments
One common tie between all the Pikachu is that each comes holding a Pikashunium Z-Crystal, which unlocks their ability to use the move 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt. The Pikachu will need to know the regular move Thunderbolt in order to use the special Z-Move, which will definitely leave your opponent feeling shocked and singed.
