Resident Evil Revelations Coming to PS4 and Xbox One on August 31

After a long time spent in limbo, Resident Evil Revelations is finally on its way to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This brand new edition of a fan-favorite which had its origins on the 3DS will launch on August 31 for $19.99 -- a pretty sweet price if you ask us! The remaster will of course feature 1080p visuals, and will come with all of the DLC released for the original game post-launch.

For those of you who have never played Revelations this story acts as a kind of bridge between the events of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5. In the story, Chris Redfield goes MIA, and it's up to you to save him. Here's the official story synopsis from Capcom:

"Chris Redfield goes missing in action during a mission, forcing the BSAA to dispatch Jill Valentine on a search-and-rescue operation. She arrives at her target location to find an extravagant cruise liner floating in the middle of the ocean. Jill makes her way through winding corridors filled with perilous traps and horrifying creatures, and soon finds that she has only just scratched the surface of a horrifying conspiracy."

Players love this game not only for its unique position in the Resident Evil canon, but also for its unique raid mode. Raid mode will have you and a friend working through re-imagined strages from the story campaign, with all new enemy placement, and special bosses that you'll encounter. Think of it like an RPG dungeon of sorts. If you're able to make it to the end, you'll reap special rewards and currency.
