Rock Band Rivals Getting Fresh DLC, Upcoming Season Pass

Rock

A new month is upon us, which means that the team at Harmonix has a fresh batch of downloadable content rarin' to go for Rock Band Rivals. But not only are we getting a fresh dose of songs to choose from, but also a new Season Pass loaded with additional challenges for players to take on.

The company detailed the pass that will be starting up on August 24th for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, priced at $13.49. Over the course of the weeks leading through October 17th, players will be able to download the songs offered in the Season Pass through the Rivals Mode challenge – a total of eight songs altogether. Since the songs usually sell for $1.99 apiece, this is a fairly good deal, especially for those looking to expand their virtual song library.

The official description is as follows:

"Brand new to Rock Band this month – a season pass to select, new Rock Band DLC. Each week for the duration of the season (eight weeks), players who purchase the Season 2 Spotlight Pass will be granted a permanent entitlement to whichever new release is featured as a Spotlight Song in that week's Rivals Mode challenge (a total of eight songs)."

On top of that, the company will offer some fresh new content that can be purchased separately for $1.99 apiece in the game, including classics like "Stranglehold" from Ted Nugent and, finally, Sugar Ray's "Every Morning," which a lot of players have been wanting.

The separate download songs are as follows:

  • Arctic Horrors – "Black Seas" (Free DLC for Rock Band Rivals owners)
  • The Black Cheers – "(You're) Breakin' Up" (Free DLC for Rock Band Rivals owners)
  • Blondfire – "True Confessions"
  • Catfish And The Bottlemen – "Postpone"
  • Garbage – "Stupid Girl"
