It's the Shrek/Thor mashup we never knew we needed. This incredible video that syncs the audio from the Thor: Ragnarok trailer and footage culled from the four Shrek films by Darth Blender that popped up on YouTube Monday is nothing short of amazing.

In the mashup Chris Hemsworth's Thor is reimagined as Arthur, Mark Ruffalo's Hulk keeps it green as Shrek and even Tom Hiddleston's Loki makes an appearance as none other than Donkey. And Cate Blanchett's evil Hela is the Fairy Godmother. The audio track of the Thor: Ragnarok trailer matches up perfectly with the lips of the animated characters and the clips are so well edited that it's easy to get engrossed in the idea of Shrek: Ragnarok. You can watch the oddly perfect video above.

Interestingly this is not the first Shrek/Thor mashup we've seen in advance of Thor: Ragnarok. Another shorter video that combines elements of the film's teaser trailer with characters from Shrek appeared back in April. In that video Donkey was cast Thor while the Hulk is again shown as the large, green ogre Shrek. It seems like it's just not easy being green. Or big. Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster from the real teaser makes an appearance as well in that video which you can see here.

As for the real Thor: Ragnarok, this mashup just has us more excited to see the real Thor and Hulk do battle this November.

Thor: Ragnarok currently has a 4.14 out of 5 ComicBook.com User Anticipation Rating, making it the third most anticipated upcoming comic book movie among ComicBook.com readers.
