Its the moment Agents of SHIELD fans have been waiting for! The agents are back in a 17-minute preview of the season five premiere of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD.

The preview was released today by Marvel and ABC and picks up where Agents of SHIELD Season Four left off, showing the mysterious final scene from a different perspective.

The opening follows the mysterious agents who captured the agents of SHIELD, who is apparently an alien in a human suit, as he leads the strike team to Rae's Diner. There they freeze and grab most of the team, leaving Fitz behind because he's not "on the list."

When the SHIELD team is finally unfrozen, they barely have a moment to catch their own breath before an obelisk, similar to but not the same as the one that sent Jemma Simmons to Mmaveth, washes over them. The effects are similar to what happened to Simmons, as they are all sent into outer space.

The team is split up when they arrive in the middle of what seems like a scavenging job gone wrong. May's leg is impaled on an exposed pipe of some sort, but the rest of the group, minus Daisy Johnson, reconvenes and try to find out what's going on. It seems they're all destined to save humanity, but before they can get much more information from their host, the man is killed by an alien creature referred to as a "Roach."

The episode starts off feeling like Agents of SHIELD meets Doctor Who and then progresses into Alien territory, which is pretty much what stars Elizabeth Henstridge and Iain De Caestecker teased when Comicbook.com spoke to them at New York Comic Con.

"It's so scary. Be careful when you watch the first episode because it's jumpy," Henstridge said.

They also hinted at how the move to space changes the show in its fifth season.

"It just allows, I think, everything to be new and different," Henstridge said. "The show is just aesthetically very different, and I think the characters, we see them in crisis, so they all react differently."

"The show's really reinvented itself and it will be the biggest switch in style that the show's ever done," co-star Iain De Caestecker added.

The two-hour Marvel's Agents of SHIELD Season Five premiere airs Friday, December 1st at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
