Sony's spider-centric corner of the Marvel Universe secured a major boost of talent for their latest spinoff project, Silver & Black.

The movie featuring Spider-Man allies Black Cat and Silver Sable just received a new draft from Captain Marvel and Chaos Walking scribes Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Lindsey Beer, according to a new report from the Hollywood Reporter.

Director Gina Prince-Bythewood will polish up the draft before submitting it to Sony. She also wrote the previous draft.

One of Beer's latest projects, based on the young adult series of novels Chaos Walking, will debut next March, though she's also worked for in Paramount writers rooms for franchises like Transformers and Star Trek, as well as the upcoming Kong vs. Godzilla movie for Warner Bros.

Robertson-Dworet worked on Captain Marvel, which is currently in production for Marvel Studios, and the Alicia Vikander Tomb Raider reboot set to premiere later this year.

Previous writers who have worked on the Silver & Black script include Thor: Ragnarok's Chris Yost and Westworld showrunner Lisa Joy.

There have been many rumors about Silver & Black, despite little being confirmed about the film. Sony started development on the project shortly after the Venom project, though that movie is set to come out in October. It is yet another movie in their Spider-Man universe, though there seems to be some confusion as to whether or not it actually ties in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

With Sony hiring Marvel Studios to make their Spider-Man movies, and lending his use out to them for their Avengers crossover films, it's unclear if their own Spider-Man spinoff films are allowed to mention or use Marvel Cinematic Universe connections. Some rumors have indicated Mac Gargan would appear, after briefly being featured in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Other rumors have also said that Tom Holland will appear in the Venom movie, making their connections all more apparent.

Last month it was reported that Silver & Black would begin production in March, but with another draft of the script being worked on and yet to be submitted to the studio, that date seems unlikely.

It's unclear when work will begin on the Black Cat and Silver Sable team-up film, but it seems like Sony wants to get the ball rolling and capitalize on the superhero boom sooner than later.

Sony's next superhero project, Venom, premieres in theaters on October 5th

Spider-Man can next be seen in Avengers: Infinity War, premiering May 4th.
