Every Character in Marvel's 'Avengers: Infinity War' Trailer
The Avengers: Infinity War trailer is now out, and it is jam-packed with characters from the [...]
Iron Man
The Infinity War trailer opens with Tony Stark / Iron Man looking like he's having another one of those "Coulson just died" days. Throughout the trailer, Tony is seen trying to orchestrated Earth's defense as Thanos and The Black Order come knocking. Later, we see Tony in his Iron Man armor seemingly off-planet, getting punched out by Thanos. Like we said: not a good day.
prevnextBruce Banner
Bruce Banner / Hulk is seen literally having crashed back on Earth, right into Doctor Strange's Sanctum Santorum. We know from merchandise spoilers and footage that Banner ends up in Wakanda, helping to defend Black Panther's kingdom in both his Banner and Hulk personas.
prevnextDoctor Strange & Wong
No telling what forces bring Hulk crashing into Doctor Strange's sanctum; however, since Strange and Wong are protecting the Time Infinity Stone, they definitely have an intergalactic target on their backs.
prevnextVision
Vision is seen sporting a new human form while he gets closer to Scarlet Witch; however, later on, we se the synthetic hero in dire peril, as Thanos' lieutenants The Black Order come calling for his Mind Infinity Stone.
prevnextScarlet Witch
Scarlet Witch just seems to be trying to find some quite time with The Vision, but the threat of Thanos and the peril that Vision faces, quickly make the fight personal for her.
prevnextThor
We see Thor in space where we left him after Thor: Ragnarok, but after Thanos ambushes The Asgardians to take the Tesseract Infinity Stone Loki is smuggling, Thor winds up floating through space, until he runs into The Guardians of the Galaxy. Recent spoiler leaks reveal the important mission Thor embarks on, thereafter.
prevnextBlack Widow
Natasha Romanoff pokes her head up from the underground once Captain America's 'Secret Avengers' team is called in by Tony Stark. Widow ends up in Wakanda, helping to defend the kingdom against Thanos' attempt to take (what is presumably) The Soul Stone from Black Panther.
prevnextSpider-Man
Peter Parker's Spider-senses get tingling when Thanos' ship shows up over Manhattan, and we get to see The Iron Spider jump into the fray! However, later footage briefly sees Spidey getting body-slammed by either Thanos or one of the Black Order, so like his Iron Man mentor, Spidey could be in for a very bad day.
prevnextLoki
Loki is seen in the trailer - but just briefly - as Thanos finally catches up with him to take The Tesseract and its Infinity Stone. We don't know if Loki arranged this meeting with Thanos, or is caught on the run, but it seems questionable if he will survive the encounter.
prevnextThanos
Thanos has been lurking around the MCU for half a decade, but we finally see him step on the battlefield (with no helmet?!) in Avengers: Infinity War. Thanos is on a quest to collect all of the Infinity Stones to make the all-powerful Infinity Guantlet, and there's a good chance he could succeed.
prevnextProxima Midnight
We briefly see Thanos' top warrior taking on Captain America with her signature spear. Some minor spoilers reveal she'll have a bigger fight sequence in one of the film's big battles.
prevnextCaptain America
He might be going by "Nomad" while living life on the run, but Steve Rogers / Captain America definitely returns in the nick of time to give Thanos and his Black Order a drag-out fight for the Infinity Stones.
prevnextBlack Panther
T'Challa / Black Panther's homeland of Wakanda seems to be the hidden location of the Soul Infinity Stone. As the trailer indicates, "The Battle of Wakanda" will be a major showdown, with Cap's Secret Avengers and the Wakandan armies battling The Black Order and their Outrider forces.
prevnextHulkbuster Armor
The Hulkbuster isn't an actual Avenger, but after the events of Age of Ultron, it's fair to say it's enough of a "character" to have its return to the screen mentioned on this list. While the Hulkbuster Armor does make a comeback, it does so with a bold new choice for a pilot...
prevnextOutriders
The Outriders are a species of feral, beast-like aliens that serve as the Black Order's scouts. They're basically the army of faceless minions for The Avengers to pound on, this time.
prevnextThe Black Order
Aside from the brief look at Proxima Midnight, we don't yet get full looks at Thanos' lieutenants, The Black Order, despite the group being some of the first figures from Infinity War revealed (as figurines) during D23. We do get a tease of Corvus Glaive's foot pining Vision down, as he and (presumably) Proxima Midnight come to take the Mind Infinity Stone.
prevnextThe Winter Soldier
Winter Soldier gets thawed out of cryo-stasis to help defend Wakanda against Thanos' forces. We can't help but notice that T'Challa and The Wakandans also fashion him a new bionic arm.
prevnextFalcon
Falcon is seen coming in guns blazing during the battle of Wakanda, as part of Cap's Secret Avengers team. We've also heard rumors that Falcon will have a key part in the defense effort.
prevnextWar Machine, Hulk & Okoye
The epic slow-motion shot of the heroes in the 'Battle of Wakanda' reveals the return of Rhodey / War Machine, after his crippling injury in Captain America: Civil War. You can spot him flying in the upper-left corner of the shot. It seems Tony Stark's technology will be Rhodey's saving grace, once again.
This same shot also reveals that Bruce Banner will eventually have to go "Full Hulk" to help defeat Thanos. It remains to be seen if Hulk well let Banner have the wheel again, afterward.
Okoye (Walking Dead's Danai Gurira), the leader of Black Panther's Doar Milaje special forces, is right where she should be: watching her king's back in the thick of battle.
prevnextGuardians of the Galaxy
Peter Quill finally connects with the other heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and as we scene in the final scene of the Infinity War trailer, his first encounter will be with Thor! Seeing the Guardians characters finally join the larger MCU is something fans are hyped about.
