Fan Creates Marvel Magic With 'Black Panther vs. Wolverine' Trailer

Claws versus claws. Vibranium versus Adamantium. Black Panther versus Wolverine is the epic clash you didn't know you needed, until now.

YouTube user Stryder HD, known for making mashup trailers, has taken things to the next level with this new video, pitting the Black Panther of the MCU against the shining star of the X-Men films, Wolverine.

The trailer begins by showing the creation of Wolverine over the course of the X-Men movies. You see Hugh Jackman's iconic character go through tests, get adamantium forced into his body, and break out of the research lab up in the snow.

Outside, in the snow-covered scene from Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther takes off his helmet. This is where things start to get interesting.

Using the voiceover from the Black Panther trailer, the narrative of this fan-film begins to take shape. The King of Wakanda is trying to keep his people safe, while the violent Wolverine aims to figure out what happened in his past, and the two are somehow connected.

Footage is utilized from many of Wolverine's appearances, spanning 17 years of X-Men films, as well as shots from the Black Panther trailers and Civil War.

When all is said and done, this footage is enough to get any comic fan excited, especially if you were already looking forward to Black Panther's release in February. Unfortunately, even if you take the messy rights conversation off the table, this film will likely still never happen, considering Hugh Jackman has retired from his role as the Wolverine.
