While Captain America: Civil War delighted man a marvel fan, there were two glaring omissions from the Avengers epic.
Fortunately, the wait to see just what kept Thor and Hulk out of the fray is dwindling at a steady pace, and it appears filming has officially begun on Thor: Ragnarok. Thor actor Chris Hemsworth shared a post on his Instagram account with the caption "chrishemsworthThor 3 has begun #wheresmyhammer #thor3 #rollercoastersrock"

While he never did find his hammer, he did come across a large roller coaster, something the actor evidently specifically requested. I can only imagine the odds of it making it through the film in one piece are slim.
Thor: Ragnarok is rumored to be a mixing of two fan favorite comic storylines, those being Ragnarok and Planet Hulk. Both stories are rather epic in scale, so even boiling them down to their base elements should provide for an action packed film.
In addition to Hemsworth, the cast will see Tom Hiddleston return as Loki, Sir Anthony Hopkins as Odin, and Idris Elba as Heimdall. The film will also include plenty of new additions, including Mark Ruffalo's Hulk, Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster, Cate Blanchett's Hela, Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie, and Karl Urban's Skurge.
The film is on track for a November 3rd, 2017 release.
