Deadpool 2: Stranger Things Star David Harbour in Running to Play Cable

As Logan opens in theaters, X-Men Movie Fans are looking ahead to the future of the franchise, which includes the upcoming Deadpool 2. The sequel to the X-Men movie universe's breakout R-Rated hit film is supposed to feature X-Men comic books icon, Cable, and it's a role that's become highly contended in Hollywood.

Now The Wrap is adding another name to the pool of actors being considered to play Cable: Stranger Things star David Harbour. And we here at Comicbook.com can confirm that it's true!

Collider has details on the casting process, claiming that Harbour has done screen testing with Ryan Reynolds, and is "definitely one of the actors under consideration for the role." Their report also states that Man of Steel star Michael Shannon was in contention for the role, but has dropped out due to scheduling.
